Evaluation of Children’s Curriculum
Here is a list of some curriculum companies that we have found helpful:
- Group Publishing
- “Hands On Bible Curriculum”: Excellent for preschoolers in Children’s Church and maybe Sunday School too!
- “Faith Weaver”: Used on Sunday mornings in Children’s Church or Sunday School. Lessons are tied to that of which the pastor is preaching so everyone is learning the same lesson on a given Sunday.
- “Faith Weaver Friends” (aka: F.W. Friends): Excellent mid week curriculum that focuses on small groups and prayer with a variety of other activities too – edible crafts, games, music and interactive Bible stories.

- Gospel Light: We have used this curriculum at the preschool and elementary age level in our Sunday School program – the preschoolers have loved Gospel Light’s “Movers and Shakers” series!

- David C. Cook: We use their “Toddlers and Two’s” for our youngest Children’s Church class – 1.5–2.5 year olds. It is a very simple lesson plan which is good because some of these kids are straight out of the Nursery and don’t have much of an attention span. Our Sunday school teachers preferred the next age level in this curriculum for their two’s and three’s class – they found the Toddlers and Two’s curriculum too young for their two and three year olds.

- Regular Baptist Press: Excellent follow up / discipleship book called “Welcome to the Family” – 13 lessons for boys and girls who know the Saviour.
